Full-time Road Crew Workers Wanted

East Brunswick Township is accepting applications for a full-time, hourly road crew worker.

This position consists of a wide variety of work including but not limited to manual labor related to road patching, paving, sweeping and maintenance, operation of township heavy equipment and vehicles, snow plowing of township roads, installation and maintenance of stormwater drainage, roadside and ćeld mowing, routine and preventative maintenance of township vehicles and equipment, tree clearing from township roads and any additional duties assigned by the Road Master or Board of Supervisors.

Physical standards and other requirements:
– Individual must possess a valid PA Commercial Driver’s (CDL) Class A license.
– Individual must possess routine knowledge of vehicle and equipment operations.
– Individual must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
– Individual must be able to work outdoors and in all weather conditions for extended periods of time.
– Individual must be able to drive and operate equipment for extended periods of time.
– Individual must be able to operate power tools and small equipment.
– Individual must be able to climb ladders.
– Individual must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
– Individual must be able to read a tape measure.
– Individual must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and works actively as a crew member with other employees under direct supervision of the Road Master.
– Individual will be enrolled in the PSATS CDL Random Drug Test Program.
– Individual will be on-call for weekend/after-hours work for snow plowing or storm cleaning.
